On July 2, 2013, a 77 year-old man was viciously attacked by 2 unrestrained dogs in Covington Township. The Lackawanna County PA dog bite victim had dog bite wounds all over his body. A neighbor heard the man’s cries for help and came running over to assist him.
When the vicious dogs turned on the neighbor, he shot and killed both dogs. Pursuant to Section 459-501 of the PA Dog Law, it is lawful to kill a dog that is pursuing, wounding or attacking a human being.
