Akita Mix Attacks Man in Bucks County

Posted on: August 14th, 2013  padog

On August 9, 2013, an Akita mix attacked a man at Lake Nockamixon Park resulting in numerous dog bite wounds to his right arm.  The Bucks County dog attack victim was erecting a tent near Lake Nockamixon when the dog lunged at him.   The gentleman instinctively put up his right arm to protect his face.

AKITA MIX 2Bucks County Dog Warden, Verna North, is investigating this unprovoked attack.  The Akita mix is currently subject to a 10 day quarantine.  Hopefully, PA Dog Law charges will be filed against the negligent dog owner.  The PA dog bite victim was treated at St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital with antibiotics.

Attorney Newell Hired by Philly Dog Attack Victim

Posted on: August 8th, 2013  padog

On Aug. 6, 2013, Attorney Thomas J. Newell was hired by a Philadelphia dog bite victim.  The woman was delivering mail for the USPS on July 30th when the defendant’s mixed breed/bulldog got loose, pursued her and then attacked.  The Philadelphia dog attack victim was knocked to the ground and bitten all over her body.

BULLDOG

The postal carrier was taken to Torresdale Hospital where the ER physician needed approximately 60 stitches to close the dog bite wounds to her left calf and left arm.  Philadelphia Police are investigating this attack.  Hopefully, PA Dog Law charges will be filed against this negligent dog owner.
