$53,000.00 Settlement for Bucks County Pit Bull Attack Victim

Posted on: October 26th, 2013  padog

On 10/21/13, Orphans’ Court Judge Theodore Fritsch of the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas approved a $53,000.00 payout for a Bucks County dog bite victim.  Attorney Thomas J. Newell had been hired by the boy’s mother after the June 2012 dog attack.  The 13 year-old had walked thru the defendant’s front door with her permission when her unrestrained pit bull launched an unprovoked attack.

PIT BULL #9The PA dog bite victim was treated at Doylestown Hospital.  An emergency room doctor used 9 stitches to close the dog bite wounds to his hands and right leg.  Soon thereafter, the negligent pit bull owner was charged with harboring a dangerous and unlicensed dog.  She pled guilty to those PA Dog Law citations.

There were several small permanent scars left on both of his hands/wrists, as well as his right leg.  Fortunately, the scars were so small that they did not need plastic surgery to repair.  Attorney Newell was able to obtain the $53,000.00 settlement without having to file a lawsuit.  Set up your free home dog bite consultation by called Attorney Newell at 1-800-980-4842.  You may also reach him via his website at:  www.PADogAttackLawyer.com

York Pit Bull Kills Tibetan Spaniel

Posted on: October 12th, 2013  padog

On October 9, 2013, a York City woman spoke with PA dog bite attorney, Thomas J. Newell, regarding the recent killing of the family’s Tibetan Spaniel by their neighbor’s pit bull.  The woman was standing in her backyard while her dog was near the neighbor’s fence.  Suddenly, the pit bull came out from under the fence, grabbed the spaniel by the neck and dragged her into its backyard.  The pit bull tore the tiny dog apart and killed it.

TIBETAN SPANIELThis vicious pit bull has initiated unprovoked attacks on other dogs before.  It killed another dog in 2012 after the pit bull jumped a fence and attacked the dog as it was being walked by its owner.  That same day, the pit bull jumped another fence to attack a Labrador Retriever and a Tibetan Spaniel.  Hopefully, the authorities will take appropriate action to ensure that this pit bull does not get loose again.
