On 8/21/14, a Bethlehem dog attack victim met with Attorney Thomas J. Newell at the site of the dog attack on Ontario Street. The elderly man explained how a little boy was walking a pit bull down the street. The 72 year old man was working on his friend’s automobile. The Lehigh Valley dog attack attorney asked him to re-enact how the attack happened on 8/7/14.
The boy, perhaps 8 or 9, initially had the pit bull on a leash, but the dog broke free from the little boy’s control and pursued the elderly man. The pit bull bit him multiple times on the right arm and left wrist. Fortunately, 2 people who were nearby came to his rescue and pulled the vicious dog off the victim.
While the pit bull owner has been identified, she has failed to apologize to the victim, take responsibility for the attack or pay for any of his medical expenses. Attorney Newell will be prosecuting her to the fullest extent allowed by law.
