A 7/10/14 article from New Castle News reported on a 5 year old boy being bitten by a tethered St. Bernard-Akita mix. The New Castle area boy was playing catch outside when the tethered dog bit him multiple times in the face. The Lawrence County, PA dog bite victim underwent 3 hours of surgery at Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
