On April 28, 2014, the parents of a Monroe County dog bite victim hired Attorney Thomas J. Newell. Their 14 year old son had been walking in Penn Estates when a neighbor’s unleashed Akita pursued him. The Akita growled, bared its teeth and snapped at him before biting his arm several times.
The Monroe County dog attack victim escaped, only to have the Akita chase him down and bite the boy’s leg and ankle. His parents took the young man to Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg, PA where they cleaned the dog bite wounds to try to prevent infections. Monroe County Dog Warden George Nixon is investigating this unprovoked dog attack.
