A May 2, 2014 article from wfmz.com details a horrific unprovoked dog attack which took place in Berks County, PA. A couple’s pit bull got loose. The female owner found the dog up the street, put him in the car and drove home. As she attempted to get the pit bull out of her car, it bit her. The male dog owner came out to help and the pit bull then mauled him, ripping off one of his thumbs during the attack.
