On October 21, 2013, Attorney Newell received a telephone call from a woman in Wayne County PA whose mixed breed dog was mauled by pit bulls owned by a neighbor. The woman’s dog had gotten loose and her husband had gone over to the neighbor’s home to retrieve their family pet. Unfortunately, there was an altercation between the dogs which resulted in serious injuries to the mixed breed dog. Attorney Newell reviewed with her the applicable PA Dog Law statute.
