On Sept. 11, 2014, Montgomery County dog bite lawyer, Thomas J. Newell received a telephone call from a Gilbertsville, PA man. In late July, his son had been walking the family shichon on a leash on the sidewalk. A neighbor’s pit bull got loose and killed the small, defenseless dog.
The pit bull owner had paid for the vet expenses but his homeowner’s insurance company refused to pay $575 to reimburse the family for the cost of replacing their family pet. Attorney Newell urged the victim to demand full restitution and discussed his litigation options with him.
