On 12/24/21, the attorney for dog bites in Wayne County was contacted by a man who had been attacked the previous day in Lake Ariel, PA. The gentleman was returning to his vehicle after dropping off the homeowner’s newspaper when an unleashed Akita attacked him.
The vicious dog bit both his lower leg and upper forearm before releasing its grip. The Wayne County dog bite victim was taken to a Lehigh Valley Health Network Urgent Care. The wounds were thoroughly cleansed, ointment was applied and an anti-infection medication was prescribed. Attorney Thomas J. Newell provided the victim with the Wayne County Dog Warden’s phone number with instructions to call him.
