On October 11, 2013, Attorney Thomas J. Newell received a telephone call from a Wayne County dog attack victim. The woman is a nurse who makes home care visits to care for the sick. When she arrived at her patient’s home, a child opened the front door and a mixed breed dog came running toward the woman. The dog bit her right hand/arm multiple times. Physicians at Wayne County Memorial Hospital used over a dozen stitches to close the dog bite wounds.
