On 4/18/19, your attorney for dog bites in Northampton County received a telephone call from a USPS mail carrier who was recently attacked in Nazareth, PA. The postal employee was delivering mail when a dog broke out of its enclosure and bit him on the knee. The skin was broken, thereby requiring medical treatment.
St. Luke’s Healthcare Network cared for the wound and prescribed antibiotics. The negligent dog owner did not have his aggressive dog up-to-date with its rabies shots. The canine is now subjected to the Pennsylvania 10 day quarantine period. Hopefully, PA Dog Law charges will be filed versus the law-breaking dog owner by the Northampton County Dog Warden.
