On May 21, 2013, a mailman was bitten by a pit bull in Allegheny County. According to wtae.com, the U.S. Postal Office employee was delivering mail on Fleming Avenue in Pittsburgh when a homeowner opened a gate. The pit bull charged thru the opening and attacked the letter carrier. He was taken to a local hospital for additional care for the dog bite wounds.
