Attorney Newell Recovers vs. Landlord Out of Possession

Posted on: July 3rd, 2013  padog

On 6/26/13, Attorney Thomas J. Newell obtained court approval to settle a Berks County pit bull attack  case versus a landlord who did not live in the house where the pit bull resided.  Back on December 29, 2010, a pit bull jumped over a 3 1/2′ fence on Birch Street in Reading PA.  The vicious dog bit a 9 year-old girl who was sledding in a nearby alley.

PIT BULL WALKINGThe Reading PA dog bite victim was treated at Reading Hospital & Medical Center for wounds to her right arm and right leg.  She also received some mental health professional care.  Unfortunately, the pit bull owner was an uninsured renter who left the area after falling behind in her rent.

Even though there was no proof of notice to the landlord of the prior vicious propensities, Attorney Newell was able to persuade the landlord’s liability insurance company to pay $15,000.00 to settle the girl’s personal injury claim.  Call Attorney Newell today at 1-800-980-4842 to set up your free home consultation.  Visit his website @ www.PADogAttackLawyer.com
