Irresponsible Dog Owner Makes Life Difficult for Montco Community

Posted on: June 17th, 2014  padog

On June 16, 2014, PA dog attack lawyer, Thomas J. Newell, spoke with a Montgomery County, PA resident whose neighborhood is being terrorized by a pit bull. Her irresponsible neighbor refuses to control the dog and it has gotten loose several times within the last year.

PIT BULL RUNNING

The pit bull has run onto her property at least twice. One one occasion, the pit bull pursued her and grabbed her leg with its mouth. Attorney Newell advised her to report all relevant facts to the Cheltenham Township Animal Control Officer. He provided her with his insight as to what her remedies are under the PA Dog Law.

Another Dog Park “Dog Incident”

Posted on: June 9th, 2014  padog

On June 9, 2014, PA dog bite lawyer, Thomas J. Newell, Esq. received a telephone call from a man who was involved in a dog attack/incident at a Lehigh Valley area dog park. The dog park has 2 separate enclosures. One has a sign “Small Dogs Only.” The other is a larger enclosure which is normally populated exclusively by larger dogs.

JACK RUSSEL TERRIER

A woman decided to put her Jack Russell Terrier in with the larger dogs.  The terrier ran up to the larger dogs while barking. One of the dogs responded by biting the terrier.

The owner of the Jack Russell Terrier wants the owner of the large dog to reimburse her for the $2,000.00 in vet bills she has incurred. While Attorney Newell only represents dog attack victims and, thus could not represent the gentleman, he believes the terrier’s dog owner exercised poor judgment thereby creating the circumstances that led to the attack.
