On November 5, 2013, Attorney Thomas J. Newell received approval from an Adams County judge to settle a pit bull attack case for $300,000.00. A little girl had been mauled by her neighbor’s pit bull and a piece of her nose had been bitten off. When the homeowner’s insurance company wouldn’t pay its liability limit, Attorney Newell filed a lawsuit. They paid the $300K maximum coverage amount with the approval of Judge Campbell.
