On 4/30/13, Attorney Thomas J. Newell obtained Bucks County Court approval to settle a lawsuit that he filed after a Bucks County dog attack. A 10 year old girl saw her brother being mauled by an uncle’s Rottweiler. She was not physically harmed, but suffered as a result of witnessing the attack. The defendants’ homeowner’s insurance company did not make a settlement offer, so Attorney Newell proceeded to litigation. After interrogatories were exchanged and depositions were taken, the defense relented and paid the $38,500.00 settlement.
